Class Notes: Formula Calculations

Edmodo

There is a poll on Edmodo that I'd love to see your answers too. It has come to my attention that I left off AP Chem inadvertently...Certainly do want you to consider that one too!!!

You can log in at edmodo.com with the group code you got in class. Parents, I will send home your parent code soon. I'm still figuring out that piece but we certainly want you to be included. This is a facebook like environment without the privacy issues of regular social networking. It targets students and teachers and includes tools like quizzes. I hope it makes school one little bit more fun or less stressful for our students!

Welcome Back to School.  We will be studying nomenclature this week as schedules change.
Hopefully you know enough about bonding that this seems easy. If not everything you need to know will be covered in class. There are excellent practice activities at sciencegeek.net  and lots of other websites.  There are some quizzes coming up on edmodo so we need to be signing up there.  Look for codes on the board during class. I hope edmodo will be a fun addition.

THURSDAY is the polyatomic ions quiz! Please study at quizlet. Or make flashcards from your list you received in class. Here's a link to an ugly google docs version of the list (charges are not superscripts).
